My Story

One Sunday, a few years after my mother passed, I was sitting in a Sunday School class. The Pastor, using scaffolding as a metaphor, said that sometimes a mother or father is the scaffolding in our lives, nurturing, training, and teaching us, and then the time comes when we must move on and step into our life’s purpose.

At that moment, my tears flowed as God showed me that my mother was the scaffolding in my life that needed to be removed at the appointed time. It was that realization that set my grief journey on an easier path. I use scaffolding as a metaphor representing anything – whether a person, situation, illness, or grief that is in our life for a season. I invite you to join me as we uncover what “scaffolding” might be holding you back so you can step confidently into your transformed purpose and achieve lasting fulfillment.
